Q: Does it Stain?
A: No, not under normal conditions, Syntec applies two coats of acrylic sealer on all its surfaces to ensure its stain resistant.

Q: Can you match an existing stone or tile I already have?
A: Yes, Syntec is able in most cases to match colors and textures of other surfaces.

Q: Will your crew be able to communicate with us?
A: Yes, our crew can work with you to help you achieve the look and color you want, without the language barrier. A bilingual Foreman is always on site.

Q: Does it crack?
A: Only if the existing slab does, but it can be easily repaired in that case.

Q: What's the maintenance?
A: Just treat it like any other stone or tile surface and the only maintenance needed is to wash it down with tap water and/or light cleaning agents. Follow a schedule of resealing every 4 to 6 years depending on traffic.

Q: What's the warranty?
A: 5 years on materials and 2 years on labor under normal conditions.

Q: Can we see the coatings?
A: Yes, our estimator will bring samples and pictures to your home, and we have referrals at your request.

Q: Can your product go over cool deck?
A: Yes, in most cases we can go over cool deck and in some cases even tile.

Q: How is it applied?
A: By hand trowelling or sometimes by spraying. This depends on the texture that is desired.

Q: I've seen trowel marks in other coatings, why don't we see them with Syntec's surfacing?
A: Because, at Syntec we pride ourselves on new and innovative techniques that make our product look and feel authentic, yet we are able to be competitive with our pricing so you get the look you want at a price that you can afford.

Q: Can your product be applied over an existing coating?

A: Yes, as long as the coating is in good repair and is not delaminating or have other surface adhesion problems.  We will do a surface grinding to remove any sealer and insure a secure bond.

Q: What type of cement is used?

A;  We use a proprietary recipe made locally with high grade Portland cement and our Syntec concentrate, also proprietary.  This yields a high grade acrylic cement overlay that has a PSI rating of 7000 and will last for many years!

Q: Can you color match to existing landscaping, house colors or decor?

A:  We make every attempt to color coordinate with your existing colors and decor.  Since this is a custom design process we have certain freedoms in coloring and patterns.   The colors that are available or of the powered stain variety and are made from natural materials and colors.  These are categorized as earth tones to mimic natural stone.

Q: What colors are available?

A:  We use natural colors and pigments commonly refered to as stains.  These are made from natural materials and ground to a fine powder similar in texture to a talcum.   These are categorized as earth tones to mimic natural stone. and are supplied in many colors. Syntec, through many years and applications, has narrowed the colors to 15 basic earthtones.   We have selected names that mimic their tones like sahara brown, mesa brown, rust etc.   These are mixed with our cements in varying ratios to mimic almost any earth shade desired.  The colors are virtually endless.
